BullBuilder Player of the Month for May 2021

BullBuilder Player of the Month for May 2021 is Jaden Barraclough Leigh Beattie (Head of Youth) said: “Jaden is fully deserving of the Player of the Month award. He’s not only been consistent in games both offensively and defensively, but he’s now starting to show strong leadership abilities too. He is a very tough defender who  works extremely hard to better himself in every aspect of his game, he consistently trains to the best of is ability and with Jaden’s work ethic, I am sure there will be more awards in the future.” Jaden was presented with his medal by Jason Taylor (BullBuilder Board Member) Want to support the development of young players at the Bulls join BullBuilder https://membermojo.co.uk/bullbuilder/joinus or if you wish to make a donation http://www.bullbuilder.co.uk/donations/ BullBuilder (Bradford Bulls Supporters Trust) is the Club’s independent supporters trust, focused on attracting, developing and retaining young talent in the Bradford Bulls Academy. BULLBUILDER BUCKET COLLECTION

Following the recent good news about the Bulls Academy Licence,  BullBuilder and some Academy Players will be doing a Bucket Collection on Sunday (27th June 2021) at the Widnes game (prior to kick off) to celebrate that we will continue to have our Academy and support “Developing Bulls of Tomorrow”. Your support is greatly appreciated by the players coming through our Academy as Brandon Pickersgill said recently “BullBuilder was great for me and the boys when we were in the academy. The equipment they helped provide was great for our training and development. The club are lucky to have them.” If you wish to make a donation to the Bucket Collection to support the Academy you can also do this on line http://www.bullbuilder.co.uk/donations/ If you would like to join BullBuilder you can do this on line: https://membermojo.co.uk/bullbuilder/joinus BullBuilder (Bradford Bulls Supporters Trust) is the Club’s independent supporters trust.

BullBuilder Investment in Young Player Development

Following a request from Leigh Beattie (Head of Youth Development) the BullBuilder Board agreed to fund the of a Freelap timing system (Speed Gates) for Academy and Scholarship. The Academy Players are now benefiting from using the Speed Gates.  Academy Strength and Conditioning Coach Chris Chapman said: “The speed gates allow us to assess the current speed and performance levels of our athletes, not only this but gives us data on how our programs are progressing the players through the long-term athletic development model, making our coaching more specific to the players needs and quantifying the performance KPIs of the players instead of having a subjective view of what the players are performing like. The players really buy into the technology and like to compete with similar players this then allows our sessions to increase in intensity and get the best out of the players by offering a competitive element to the training principles. We want the best for our players and the speeds gates are another step forward in providing the very best intervention on the players' journey. The vision of providing players for the first team and giving players the opportunity to play at the highest level possible, this is our aim, passion, and desire.” In the photographs the Speed Gates are the yellow cones.  Many thanks to Toni Hoggett (Board Member) for the photographs and quote from Chris Chapman. Leigh Beattie (Head of Youth Development) has recently requested that BullBuilder supports the development of some coaching staff the BullBuilder Board has agreed to fund this request.  This will strengthen any future Academy license applications and benefit the development of young players. Many thanks to every member and supporter of BullBuilder for making this possible. Academy License BullBuilder Letter to RFL

Following recent announcement by RFL in regards to Elite Academy Licence BullBuilder has written to RFL 24 May 2021 To: Mr Ralph Rimmer (Chief Executive Officer) C/O Rugby Football League Quay West Trafford Wharf Road Trafford Park, Manchester M17 1HH Dear Mr Rimmer Re: Bradford Bulls Academy Elite Licence Given the recent RFL announcement not to grant Bradford Bulls Academy an Elite Licence, I write to you on behalf of BullBuilder and request that you give further consideration to award a licence to the Bradford Bulls. BullBuilder is an Industrial and Provident Society, and is registered with the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) as Bradford Rugby League Supporters Society Limited.  We are focused on attracting, developing young players in the Bradford Bulls Academy and Rugby League. BullBuilder is an independent supporters trust. It is run by dedicated volunteers who support the Academy by providing the “extras” to support young player’s development. Money is raised from events and direct donations from members.  We are also supported by players past and present who want to support young player development at the Bulls. Over recent years BullBuilder has made significant contributions to support the development of Academy players, summary of 2019/20 donations attached.  Our accounts are in the public domain and we will gladly provide you with copies. As you will be aware there are many high quality players (past and present), representing teams at all UK and NRL levels.  They have benefited from the incredible work of the Bulls Academy.  This is an excellent example of how the Bulls Academy significantly contributed to expanding the game of rugby league. Rugby League prides itself as being rooted in local communities. The Bulls have established excellent links with the local community clubs. That connection will be damaged by your decision. BullBuilder has supported young player development at the Bulls for over 10 years and raised tens of thousands of pounds, from fund raising, events, donations etc.  This is additional to the resources the Bulls have provided. Officials from the Rugby League have attended our events and publicly expressed their support and admiration for our work. The Bulls Academy structure has created an outstanding learning environment, not only in terms of the primary aims of furthering the game and the supply of players but also in terms of the learning (academic and vocational) opportunities for young people. We also have robust welfare policy and procedures, requests have included providing funding for medical support eg: funding head injury assessments, financial support if young player or their family do not have the means (eg: funds to provide boots etc).  These requests are made by the Head of Youth and are treated in confidence, grants/donations are reflected in our accounts.  This provides consistency and care for young players. BullBuilder also supports the Bulls Academy in recognising and encouraging young player’s achievements.  Dedicated volunteers provide a wide range of support and expertise in personal development.  We have a variety of awards eg: Player of the Month, Player of the Year and Academic Achievement, Outstanding Achievement Award and Trevor Foster Unsung Hero Award. The Bulls Academy has a very dedicated, committed, hardworking staff who together with the aforementioned volunteers provide outstanding support for the Academy players not only in helping them develop rugby skills but in their personal development. By not awarding the Bradford Bulls Academy an Elite License, I would suggest will have a negative and damaging impact on the game of rugby league and would respectfully request you reconsider/review the decision and grant the Bradford Bulls Academy an Elite License. If we can assist by providing any further information to support the granting of an Elite Licence to the Bradford Bulls Academy, please do not hesitate to contact us. Yours sincerely     Paul Butterworth (Chair)
