Getting Involved with BullBuilder

Because of the considerable interest in getting involved with BullBuilder, we decided that it would be best to hold a meeting to go into the opportunities for involvement in greater detail. Therefore, we have arranged a meeting in the Trevor Foster Lounge in the Coral Stand, Odsal, on Wednesday 12 February 2014 at 7:30PM.

We will explain further about the two ways in which you can actively assist BullBuilder:

1. You could stand for election to the Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is the body that bears the legal responsibilities of the Trust and makes the decisions about the broader strategy. On the Executive Committee, we need people with the requisite skills to cover the positions of Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer, but we also need people who can act in the interests of the Trust over a wide ranges of issues and are willing to take on the legal responsibilities. There are up to 10 elected positions available, as all members of the current Executive Committee intend either to step down or to stand for re-election. There is also an option to co-opt people with particular skill sets.
2. You could join one of a number of sub-committees (no election required) to help with the day to day running of the Trust.
What these sub-committees will be, is to be determined to a great extent by the interests and skills of those who volunteer, but a good example would be events and fund-raising.

We will go into greater detail on the night, but to stand for election to the Executive Committee, you will need to be a current member of BullBuilder, and to be nominated by two other current members. To join any sub-committee, you only need to be a current member in your own right.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, this does not prevent you from putting your name forward in any capacity. We will attempt to hold a subsequent meeting, but please contact us at info@bullbuilder.co.uk if you would like further information, or would like to discuss anything with us.
