U16’s Player of the Year Award 2019: (shield sponsored by GTL Motor Spares, trophy sponsored by Kelly Hargreaves and Jason Taylor):

Winner of Award:  Lewis Camden (sponsored by Merilyn Phillips Ltd)

U16’s Coach Leigh Mark Dunning said “Lewis Camden developed from a young little shy lad in to a confident and talented young player. His attitude and effort has been outstanding and this has accumulated in his man of the match performance for England U16’s against Wales. He has worked extremely hard to achieve what he has so far along with the rest of his team mates and he knows he now has a massive opportunity to kick on and continue to develop and express himself with our U18’s”

Trevor Foster Unsung Hero Award 2019 (sponsored by the Trevor Foster Family)

The Award is awarded to person who gives a lot of commitment and/or puts a lot effort into the Club, that people are not aware of ie: a volunteer who does cleaning, washes kit, etc., members of office staff.

Winner of Award: Iris Beattie – Stuart Duffy said “ Iris has volunteered for many years to wash playing kits for all the Bulls teams including socks, she has provided invaluable support for the players and Club.”

Winner of Award:  Matthew Race (sponsored by K3 Cosmetic Dental Studio).

Matthew, who comes from the Stanley Rangers community club, is a stand-off or scrum half who has impressed this season.  U19’s Coach Leigh Beattie said “Matthew is a stand off or scrum half who controls the game well.   He’s really worked on his defence this season as well.  However it is in terms of his attitude that he has made real progress.   He can be a bit of a “class clown” this growing maturity has shone through.   I think he’s realised what he needs to do in order to progress.    His overall performance has lifted 100% and I hope he continues to mature as he’s a real talent.”

Academic Achievement Award 2019: (trophy sponsored by Sue Cater): The winner of this award is chosen by the Head of Youth Development and awarded to a young player who has shown a lot of commitment and/or puts a lot effort into their educational/academic development.

Winner of Award: Jacob Beety

Paul Fisher Outstanding Achievement Award 2019 (trophy sponsored by Paul Butterworth): This award is to recognise someone that has worked hard through testing times or have come through or supported youth development and contributed consistently over a long period.  Leigh Beattie said “Toni has cared for young players, supported the medical team and provided him with Admin support, she really deserves this award”.
